How to Draw Robert Pattinson

Tips on How to Draw Robert Pattinson:

  • His skin texture is exceptionally smooth in this photo. To replicate this effect you may want to use subtle blending with a clean finger or a tissue.
  • Remember to always test any new technique that you’re unfamiliar with (like blending) on a different piece of paper before using it directly to your drawing!
  • Notice the left side of his face is lit by reflective light, so his temple, cheek bone and jaw is lighter that the interior of his cheek.
  • When you shade in Robert’s lips, see how the top lip is darker than the bottom.
  • If you’re up for the challenge (and you have the extra hour or two required) pay attention to the difference in textures between the smoothness of his skin and the fine lined texture of his shirt. Those fine lines will be achieved using a sharp pencil – don’t press too hard though – the pattern of lines is delicate and subtle.
