Drawing Tips
Tips on How to Draw Justin Bieber:

  • In this image of Justin his head is tilted at a slight angle.
  • The get the most accurate portrait, print out the grid image off Justin below using a ruler and pen, draw a line to trace the angle from one corner of his mouth to the other. Do the same drawing a line from one pupil to the other. This will give you a better sense of the angles.
  • He has interesting highlight areas in his eyes caused by studio flash photography. To keep these shapes crisp and white, outline them with a sharp, hard pencil (H, F). Then shade in with a softer pencil around them (B or 2B).
  • There are very subtle graduations in the tones in his hands and fingers, pay close attention to these to get your drawing looking realistic.
  • As a general rule, use hard pencils (F and H – H4) for lighter tones and soft pencils for darker tones (B – B6), although you can mix these for different effects.

which photo will i follow when i shade? do i follow the gray scale or the one with the grid?

    • admin says:

Good questions Aria. You can use both, but the grayscale photo is best to use to see the various intensities of the tones from light to dark. The grayscale photo also has more detail (eg. hair, skin, etc). Good luck

i cant draw. any different way to draw justin drew bieber?

    • admin says:

Hi Allie, The grid method takes some time to set-up, but once you get the feel for it it is very easy. It is also very helpful for beginners. Give it a shot and remember, practice makes perfect. If your first drawing doesn’t work out – try another, you’ll see each time you draw you’ll get better at it. Everyone is an artist, it just takes time and patience 🙂 Good luck.
